About Our Team

What We Do

We’re forming a small FIRST® LEGO® League team for curious kids (ages 9–14).

Our group will meet weekly from September 2025 to January 2026, with a one-time cost of $50 per child. Kids will learn STEM skills, build LEGO® robots, and grow in confidence as part of a supportive, team-based program.

Meet the Coaches*

Era Mae Ferron

Era Mae is a Brampton parent and healthcare professional who is passionate about making STEM education more accessible for all kids. As a parent, she has seen how cost can be a barrier to quality STEM programs and was drawn to FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) for its community-based, volunteer-led model. She values how the program uses a familiar and beloved toy—LEGO—to introduce children to STEM concepts in a hands-on, play-based environment.

Brandon Merenick

Brandon is a Brampton parent and real estate professional with a strong background in music and education. He has years of experience teaching kids and adults of all ages and cognitive levels, using music and creative play to make learning both fun and meaningful. Brandon values how the program blends technical skills with teamwork in a playful environment.

Our Approach

Together, the coaches are guiding a rookie FIRST® LEGO® League (FLL) Challenge Team in Brampton, Ontario. Their goal is to give kids a fun, structured, and accessible STEM experience that fosters curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Kids will work with LEGO® robotics based on the 2025/2026 UNEARTHED™ theme, practice teamwork, and prepare for local competitions/events—all in a supportive, community-driven environment.

*Coaches have been screened through the FIRST Youth Protection Program and have successfully passed a Vulnerable Sector Check via the Peel Regional Police.
